Directions
- 1.Cut the chicken into small pieces and slice the burdock root into thin shavings (sasagaki style).
- 2.In a pot, heat the sesame oil and add the chicken and burdock root, stirring to fry.
- 3.Once the chicken changes colour, add the sauce ingredients and simmer until the liquid is reduced by about half.
- 4.In a bowl, add the cooked rice and the mixture from step [3] with its sauce. Mix well, then let it steam briefly before serving.
*1 rice cup (gō) is equivalent to approximately 180ml of uncooked rice.
